This project features two illustrations commemorating the wedding locations of my relatives. The first depicts boutique hotel Relais & Châteaux Weeshuis in Gouda, the Netherlands, where the ceremony took place. The second portrays the Lichtfabriek, also nestled in Gouda, where the dinner and wedding party unfolded.
Both illustrations share the same color scheme and have opposing light angles. Despite their similarities, the illustrations also contrast each other through the effects of daytime and nighttime, creating a compelling diptych meant to be displayed together.
